Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La Pierre de foudre by Félix Labisse was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,104.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix Labisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Histoire Naturelle in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,842.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La Pierre de foudre von Félix Labisse im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.104,58) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix Labisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Histoire Naturelle im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.842,63).
