In February this year Christies in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work La Source by Félix-Maurice Charpentier. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,146.01), 54% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Félix-Maurice Charpentier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot French Flora sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,282.45).

Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Source von Félix-Maurice Charpentier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 26.146,01) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Félix-Maurice Charpentier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit French Flora im Oktober 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 49.282,45).
