The work Signora elegante in interno by Felice Castegnaro was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction at Christies in Rome in December 2001. The price achieved of ITL 6,737,500.00 (€ 6,055.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 5,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Signora elegante in interno is the most expensive artwork by Felice Castegnaro that we have observed at auctions so far.
