Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two Works From The Series Circus In Berlin And In The Café, Berlin by Fedor Semenovich Bogorodsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,949.75). Admittedly, works by Fedor Semenovich Bogorodsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,624.78).
