Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peruvian The Doge'S Palace And The Grand Canal, Venice by Federico del Campo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 109,851.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Federico del Campo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peruvian a View Of The Grand Canal With The Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 682,000.00 (€ 612,483.16).
