In June 2007 Sothebys in Milan held the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Paesaggio Montano by Federico Ashton. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,200.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Ashton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Macugnaga in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio Montano von Federico Ashton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.200,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Federico Ashton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Macugnaga im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
