Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included this untitled work by Fateh Moudarres. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,679.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fateh Moudarres - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 374,500.00 (€ 269,540.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fateh Moudarres zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.679,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Fateh Moudarres mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für USD 374.500,00 (€ 269.540,81) versteigert wurde.
