Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brain by Farhad Moshiri was sold in the Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,832.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Farhad Moshiri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Secret Garden in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 987,750.00 (€ 750,113.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brain von Farhad Moshiri wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.832,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Farhad Moshiri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Secret Garden im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 987.750,00 (€ 750.113,91).
