Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Chinese Paintings, which included the work Camel and calf by Fan Youxin. It changed hands for a price of AUD 1,168.50 (€ 955.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fan Youxin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1. Camels 2. Camels 3. Camels 4. Camels searching for Oasis, which sold at auction in December 2020 for AUD 3,444.00 (€ 2,816.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camel and calf von Fan Youxin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 1.168,50 (€ 955,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fan Youxin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1. Camels 2. Camels 3. Camels 4. Camels searching for Oasis beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für AUD 3.444,00 (€ 2.816,03) versteigert wurde.
