Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A stage design with a circular temple surrounded by clouds by Fabrizio Galliari was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,117.09). Other works by Fabrizio Galliari have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2017 by the work A stage design of a palace garden at USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,852.88).
