Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A group of bishops and monks taking water from a fountain, with Saint Paul and Saint Catherine standing in the foreground by Fabrizio Boschi was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 542.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fabrizio Boschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Lucy Before The Magistrate in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,407.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A group of bishops and monks taking water from a fountain, with Saint Paul and Saint Catherine standing in the foreground von Fabrizio Boschi im Februar 2009 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 687,50 (€ 542,96) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fabrizio Boschi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St. Lucy Before The Magistrate im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 63.407,64).
