In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ascèse – Bleu De L’Outremer by Fabienne Verdier. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 112,110.73), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fabienne Verdier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ascèse, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 403,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ascèse – Bleu De L’Outremer von Fabienne Verdier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 112.110,73) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fabienne Verdier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ascèse beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 403.200,00 versteigert wurde.
