This price was achieved in the auction “Cent Briques pour Madagascar” Sale Benefiting to Association Ecoles du Monde at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 501.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fabien Verschaere; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Uptopke sold at auction in January 2013 with the realized price of EUR 4,000.00.
