A top price for Sigmund Lachenwitz - as previously expected
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A woodland encounter by Sigmund Lachenwitz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,426.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A woodland encounter is the most expensive artwork by Sigmund Lachenwitz that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A woodland encounter von Sigmund Lachenwitz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.426,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A woodland encounter das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sigmund Lachenwitz, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
