In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A castle on the banks of a Scottish loch, thought to be Loch Lomond by Francis E. Jamieson. The price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 644.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by Francis E.
