Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work California Coast by Eyvind Earle. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,652.32), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eyvind Earle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fields of gold in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 22,575.00 (€ 20,154.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit California Coast von Eyvind Earle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.652,32) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eyvind Earle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fields of gold im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.575,00 (€ 20.154,45).
