Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Women In The S-Bahn (From The Rape Of The Sabine Women) by Eve Sussman for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,245.47). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Eve Sussman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gomorrah in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,612.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Women In The S-Bahn (From The Rape Of The Sabine Women) von Eve Sussman für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.245,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eve Sussman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gomorrah im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.612,32).
