Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Carri e cavalli a Giugliano by Eugenio Scorzelli was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugenio Scorzelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Preparativi Per La Caccia in November 2004 with an auction result of EUR 9,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Carri e cavalli a Giugliano von Eugenio Scorzelli im Mai 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugenio Scorzelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Preparativi Per La Caccia im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.300,00.
