Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Mariano Ceballos Cabalgando (Mariano Ceballos Mounted); Banderillas De Fuego (Banderillas With Firecrackers) by Eugenio Lucas Velázquez. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 47,748.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Eugenio Lucas Velázquez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2007 the work A Bullfight was auctioned for USD 108,000.00 (€ 83,089.71).

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mariano Ceballos Cabalgando (Mariano Ceballos Mounted); Banderillas De Fuego (Banderillas With Firecrackers) von Eugenio Lucas Velázquez zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 47.748,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
