In April 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work The Crucifixion Of A Male Saint, Possibly St. Philip by Eugenio Cajès. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 20,598.46), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugenio Cajès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A commander turned to the right (recto); Draperies of a figure seen from behind (verso) in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 171,000.00 (€ 198,976.03).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Crucifixion Of A Male Saint, Possibly St. Philip von Eugenio Cajès zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 20.598,46) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugenio Cajès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A commander turned to the right (recto); Draperies of a figure seen from behind (verso) im Januar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.000,00 (€ 198.976,03).
