Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Having A Rest by Eugène Modeste Edmond Le Poitevin was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,320.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Modeste Edmond Le Poitevin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work BATHING IN ETRETAT in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 226,800.00.
