Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art Online, which included the work Still Life With Roses, Cherries And Grapes by Eugène Henri Cauchois. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,613.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Henri Cauchois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses in a basket, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 32,900.00 (€ 15,100.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Roses, Cherries And Grapes von Eugène Henri Cauchois zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.613,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène Henri Cauchois mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses in a basket beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 32.900,00 (€ 15.100,48) versteigert wurde.
