Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French jeune Lavan dière by Eugène Pierre François Giraud. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,460.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugène Pierre François Giraud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Czarda Hongroise in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 104,562.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French jeune Lavan dière von Eugène Pierre François Giraud zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.460,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Pierre François Giraud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Czarda Hongroise im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 104.562,74).
