Die Arbeit A river running under an aquaduct on the Roman campagna von Ettore Roesler Franz kam im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.761,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ettore Roesler Franz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Prati di Castello" im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 26.950.000,00 (€ 24.222,00).
