Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couple Goudron by Étienne Martin was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2017. The price achieved of EUR 40,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Étienne Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le grand couple, which sold at auction in October 2020 for EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Couple Goudron von Étienne Martin kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 40.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Étienne Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le grand couple beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für EUR 150.000,00 versteigert wurde.
