Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Esther Mahlangu was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,348.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Esther Mahlangu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ndebele Abstract in July this year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,801.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Esther Mahlangu kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.348,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esther Mahlangu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ndebele Abstract im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.801,52).
