The work Abstract 99, 2017 by Esther Mahlangu was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. It achieved a price of EUR 5,904.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48 %. Admittedly, works by Esther Mahlangu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ndebele Abstract in July this year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,801.52).

Die Arbeit Abstract 99, 2017 von Esther Mahlangu kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 5.904,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esther Mahlangu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ndebele Abstract im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.801,52).
