Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract 43, 2018 by Esther Mahlangu was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,624.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Esther Mahlangu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ndebele Abstract in July this year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,801.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract 43, 2018 von Esther Mahlangu kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.624,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Esther Mahlangu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ndebele Abstract im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.801,52).
