Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Eske Kath was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 10,000.00 (€ 1,339.89). Admittedly, works by Eske Kath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 2019 in June this year with an auction result of DKK 92,000.00 (€ 12,350.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Eske Kath im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 10.000,00 (€ 1.339,89) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eske Kath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 2019 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 92.000,00 (€ 12.350,92).
