In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work British Princes On A Lakeside Pavilion by Errol John Le Cain. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,549.28), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Errol John Le Cain - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa's last ride, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,375.40).

Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit British Princes On A Lakeside Pavilion von Errol John Le Cain zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.549,28) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Errol John Le Cain mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa's last ride beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.375,40) versteigert wurde.
