This artwork by Ernst Ferdinand Oehme achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2012. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work German cloister In Winter sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,018.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Bergkapelle im Winter" in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 283,800.00.
