Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study of Woman Sitting on Bench with Cane by Ernie Barnes was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,720.00 (€ 28,834.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernie Barnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sugar Shack in May last year with an auction result of USD 15,275,000.00 (€ 14,234,460.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study of Woman Sitting on Bench with Cane von Ernie Barnes kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.720,00 (€ 28.834,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernie Barnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sugar Shack im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275.000,00 (€ 14.234.460,91).
