Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Form by Ernesto Shikhani was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,041.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Shikhani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mozambican A Chave De Papa Para Afrika (The Popes Key For Afrika), which sold at auction in April 2019 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,724.67).
