Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Home in Danger by Ernest Procter. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,612.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Procter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On The Beach At Newlyn in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 49,700.00 (€ 67,533.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Home in Danger von Ernest Procter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.612,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Procter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On The Beach At Newlyn im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.700,00 (€ 67.533,87).
