Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Travellers on the road by Ernest Henry Griset for GBP 107.55 (€ 162.53). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Henry Griset achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Stanley In Africa (Eight Works) in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,592.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Travellers on the road von Ernest Henry Griset für GBP 107,55 (€ 162,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Henry Griset erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Stanley In Africa (Eight Works) im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.592,21).
