In October 2013 VAN HAM held the auction Dekorative Kunst, which included the work Porträt des Bernard Palisy by Louis-Ernest Barrias. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 516.00 29% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Ernest Barrias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille de Bou-Saada in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 121,500.00 (€ 130,253.00).

Im Oktober 2013 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Dekorative Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Porträt des Bernard Palisy von Louis-Ernest Barrias zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 516,00 und damit 29% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Ernest Barrias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille de Bou-Saada im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.500,00 (€ 130.253,00).
