Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Italian garden, Hever Castle by Ernest Arthur Rowe was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2001. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Arthur Rowe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 20,836.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Italian garden, Hever Castle von Ernest Arthur Rowe kam im November 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.105,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Arthur Rowe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 20.836,56) versteigert wurde.
