In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Across The Moat, Great Langley Manor by Ernest Arthur Rowe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,029.46), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Arthur Rowe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 20,836.56).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Across The Moat, Great Langley Manor von Ernest Arthur Rowe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.029,46) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Arthur Rowe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 20.836,56).
