Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A walk way covered with the American Pillar rose, Hever Castle by Ernest Arthur Rowe was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in November 2001. The price achieved of GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,487.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Arthur Rowe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 20,836.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A walk way covered with the American Pillar rose, Hever Castle von Ernest Arthur Rowe wurde im November 2001 in der Auktion British Art on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.487,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Arthur Rowe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 20.836,56).
