Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 2,304.00 (€ 2,645.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Archibald Taylor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Road to Caerlaverock, which sold at auction in May 2021 for GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,637.27).
