Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Simdi (Now) by Erinc Seymen was sold in the Contemporary Art / Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,731.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erinc Seymen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 30,208.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Simdi (Now) von Erinc Seymen wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Turkish bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.731,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Erinc Seymen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2010 für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 30.208,62) versteigert wurde.
