Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell, which included this untitled work by Erik Dietman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,024.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Dietman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Philosophe Corse Et Ses Amis, 1993 in December 2010 with an auction result of EUR 93,478.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Erik Dietman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.024,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Dietman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Philosophe Corse Et Ses Amis, 1993 im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 93.478,00.
