Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Fisherman by Eric Malthouse for GBP 264.00 (€ 384.49). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Malthouse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mother And Child in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,989.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fisherman von Eric Malthouse für GBP 264,00 (€ 384,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Malthouse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mother And Child im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.989,71).
