Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couple in Bréton by Eric Forbes-Robertson was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,236.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eric Forbes-Robertson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trois baigneuses in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 9,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Couple in Bréton von Eric Forbes-Robertson wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.236,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Forbes-Robertson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trois baigneuses im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.360,00.
