This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Thomas & Doris Ammann: Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Fischl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog in May last year with an auction result of USD 4,140,000.00 (€ 3,857,981.55).
