Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eric Fischl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June this year. In the Art contemporain - Vente du jour auction, the work Sans titre sold for EUR 21,420.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Fischl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog in May last year with an auction result of USD 4,140,000.00 (€ 3,857,981.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Fischl erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain - Vente du jour wurde die Arbeit Sans titre für EUR 21.420,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Fischl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.140.000,00 (€ 3.857.981,55).
