A top price for Ercole Calvi - as previously expected
The work Piazza San Marco by Ercole Calvi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Piazza San Marco is the most expensive artwork by Ercole Calvi that we have observed at auctions so far.
