A top price for Emmanuel Lansyer - as previously expected

In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Seine At Rouen by Emmanuel Lansyer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,586.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Seine At Rouen is the most expensive artwork by Emmanuel Lansyer that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Seine At Rouen von Emmanuel Lansyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.586,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Seine At Rouen das teuerste Kunstwerk von Emmanuel Lansyer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
