Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head of a Young Man by Emmanuel Gondouin was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 586.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emmanuel Gondouin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Palmiers in October 2013 with an auction result of EUR 11,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head of a Young Man von Emmanuel Gondouin kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 586,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emmanuel Gondouin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Palmiers im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.875,00.
