Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mujer con rebozo (Woman with rebozo) by Emilio Amero was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 200.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 127.50 (€ 119.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Amero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,209.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mujer con rebozo (Woman with rebozo) von Emilio Amero im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 127,50 (€ 119,67) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Amero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.209,08).
